Our Beginnings ...

It all started with an awesome recipe for whoopie pies. Over the years I have had people actually quarrel over these delectable treats. I thought if people liked them that much maybe I should market them. So I shifted into research mode in the summer of 2006 to determine what it would take to run a food related business. During this same time and
prior, I had been making white chocolate-coated popcorn, which I would give as gifts for my daughter's teachers and school bus driver at Christmas and at the end of the school year. I would also occasionally bring the popcorn to my Girl Scout leader meetings and that is where I was always being told, "This popcorn is awesome, you should sell it!" It was December 2006 when I finally listened and decided to put the whoopie pie venture on hold indefinitely and pursue popcorn.

So began, Michele's Totally Awesome Gourmet Popcorn.

Nestled in beautiful Loudon, NH, Michele's Sweet Shoppe, LLC is a fully licensed and
inspected popcorn kitchen. Michele's is a family run business with my husband and
three children all taking part in some way or another.

All of our flavors, including the original white chocolate, are handcrafted in small
